Owner’s Engineering services for the Cerignola BESS project in Italy

We are providing Owner’s Engineering services for the Cerignola Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Apulia, Italy, supporting BW ESS throughout the development and construction phases of a 97 MW / 828 MWh energy storage asset.

Our scope of services includes design review, construction supervision of EPC activities through a full-time site manager, and technical advisory services aimed at supporting the delivery of a compliant, reliable and high-performance project.

The Cerignola BESS project secured a MACSE contract in October 2025 and is expected to become operational in 2028. Once commissioned, the facility will contribute to expanding Italy’s energy storage capacity and supporting the integration of renewable energy generation into the electricity system.

Through this project, we continue delivering engineering and technical advisory services that support the successful development, construction and operation of utility-scale BESS assets across Europe.
