Enertis Applus+ carried out quality inspections during the PV module manufacturing process, auditing the manufacturing lines; supervising the process, and verifying the traceability of the materials; carrying out tests in its independent laboratory and electroluminescence and visual inspections upon the delivery of the modules for batch validation. Enertis also supervised the assembly process and completed the work by performing thermography, visual inspections, and night-time electroluminescence tests on the installed PV modules. During the operation phase, Enertis Applus+ carried out module degradation measurements and solar pyranometers calibrations.

Enertis Applus+ assisted Voltalia providing its specialised and independent advice during the pre-manufacturing, manufacturing, and pre-shipment phases. As part of the services that were performed, the company carried out vendor surveillance, namely factory inspections, in China to oversee and evaluate the raw materials for solar PV modules. Also, Enertis Applus+ assessed the compliance of the manufacturing process with the established quality standards and its experienced quality inspectors supervised the entire manufacturing process in China. The services also included pre-shipment factory acceptance tests (FAT). Enertis Applus+ also performed additional and specific tests on the modules in its accredited external laboratory (ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 17020 and CBTL/IECEE), including the determination of the maximum power under standard conditions, visual, EL, Light Induced Degradation (LID), Potential Induced Degradation (PID) and the Light and Elevated Temperature Induced Degradation Index (LeTID) tests. These tasks are necessary to evaluate the quality and optimal performance of the modules. Similarly, specific tests were carried out on inverters and solar trackers to verify their compliance with predefined technical requirements.

Enertis Applus+ has certified the quality and audited the module supply chain for the High Horizons PV plant in West Virginia and the Elizabeth PV project in Louisiana, collectively totaling 260 MWp in capacity.

Enertis Applus+ has performed quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) inspections on the bifacial photovoltaic modules of the 480 MWp Aldoga solar PV plant. Enertis Applus+ has assisted ACCIONA Energía with specialised and independent technical advice during the pre-manufacturing, manufacturing and pre-shipment phases with factory audits and additional tests in its accredited external PV laboratory.  

Enertis Applus+ has developed a technical-economic feasibility study of the hybridisation of solar PV technology, wind and a battery energy storage system (BESS) for a project in Spain.

Enertis Applus+ works closely with the Commercial and Engineering teams at ESS, Inc., helping to establish system solutions and project designs, providing advanced ESS energy modeling, and helping ESSI establish relations with qualified contractors for delivery of the revolutionary flow technology. Project capacities are 2000 kVA to 120MVA per project – with 10-hours of energy storage duration each.  ESSI’s proprietary, water-based iron process delivered in self-contained containerized units or large, custom sites at customer locations. The designs and documents created during the course of the team's work help in communicating technical details and requirements to potential customers who may be interested in utilizing the new and revolutionary technology offered by ESS, Inc and are establishing standards and best practices for delivery and construction of this critical, long-duration ESS resource.

Enertis Applus+ acted as Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA) to Banco Sabadell, Bankia, Abanca, and Banco Pichincha Spain in the financing of five Elawan Energy solar PV plants located in Spain, in Castilla-La Mancha region. The total amount of the structured loan for the five projects is approximately 92 million euros. Enertis Applus+ carried out the technical Due Diligence for the five plants, reviewing the projects in accordance with the Equator Principles and the loan in accordance with the Green Loan Principles (GLP). Enertis Applus+ will continue to advise the financial institutions in the construction, commissioning, and operation phases.

Enertis Applus+ provided owner’s engineering services for a portfolio of solar photovoltaic projects located in Chile and Colombia. Specifically, Enertis Applus+ acted as technical advisor to Matrix Renewables in the acquisition and construction of 24 solar photovoltaic projects developed under the Small Distributed Generation (PMGD) program. The projects, located in Chile, have a total capacity of 178 MWp. Enertis Applus+ has performed construction and operation and maintenance contract reviews, detailed engineering review, construction supervision, and provisional acceptance verification. Moreover, Enertis Applus+ worked as owner's engineer in three Matrix Renewables’ solar photovoltaic projects located in Colombia, with a total capacity of 82 MWp, providing the same services as the ones mentioned above.

Enertis Applus+, according to the needs required by the client, prepared the technical specifications of the BESS system, managed the RFP of suppliers and carried out the analysis and evaluation of the technical-commercial proposals received.

Enertis Applus+ carried out a technical due diligence for the financing of the Sol del Desierto PV plant. Moreover, the firm also carried out in situ albedo measurements to validate the inputs of the production study. During the construction phase, Enertis Applus+ is supervising the works on behalf of the financial institutions and it will follow up during the operation phase.

Enertis Applus+ acted as Technical Advisor for Canadian Solar Inc and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) in the US$93 million non-recourse financing of the 126 MWp Tastiota solar PV project. The plant, located in the state of Sonora, Mexico, is one of the first utility-scale projects in Mexico under project finance to use bifacial PV modules.

Enertis Applus+ acted as Owner's Engineer for the 105 MW Amin solar photovoltaic (PV) plant located in the Sultanate of Oman. The project is so far one of the biggest solar parks in the Middle East to use bifacial photovoltaic modules, which can withstand desert temperature fluctuations, and, with the signing of a 23-year power purchase agreement (PPA), it is one of the world’s first utility-scale PV project to have an oil and gas company, Petroleum Development Oman LLC (PDO), as the sole wholesale buyer of energy. Enertis Applus+ has also carried out Final Acceptance Test (FAT) related services during the production of bifacial PV modules in China, as a first-class factory inspection and testing company in Asia, leading and monitoring every technical-related aspect, with a special focus on the approval of the detail design for the project. Also, Enertis Applus+ has deployed an experienced on-site team to supervise the construction activities, ensure compliance with the contractual obligations and verify the quality of the works.

Enertis Applus+ acted as Owner's Engineer for this peculiar project located at 4000 mt in the Jujuy province, in Argentina.

Enertis Applus+ carried out a technical due diligence for the potential acquisition of a portfolio of PV projects in Ukraine. So far, this operation represents one of the biggest financial transactions in the country.

Enertis Applus+ carried out quality control inspections for a portfolio of PV projects located in Queensland and New South Wales.

Enertis Applus+ acted as independent technical advisor to a pool of 11 banks for the refinancing of a portfolio of 24 PV plants located in the UK.

Enertis Applus+ acted as Owner's Engineer for one of the first utility-scale PV plants in Colombia, the Celsia Solar Bolívar PV project. As part of its services, Enertis Applus+ reviewed the detailed engineering of the plant and assigned an in-situ team to supervise the construction and commissioning of the project.

Enertis Applus+ has been appointed as Owner’s Engineer for three solar photovoltaic plants property of RWE Renewables. These solar PV plants, located in Spain, have a total capacity of 112 MW. The Owner’s Engineering services are provided during the design, planning, construction, and commissioning phases, in order to ensure the projects’ quality throughout their lifetime.

Enertis Applus+ has provided its Testing & Optimization services to Cet Brazil Transmissão de Energia Ltda in performing post-shipment EL tests on 20.000+ PV modules to verify that their integrity and quality have not been compromised during sea and road transportation from the factory to the plant, located in Arinos, in the state of Minas Gerais.
